This is a beautiful peach opalescent carnival glass Whimsey Creamer or Gravy with the intricate

) pattern made by Dugan Glass, circa 1915.  Note the sea shells and sea weed on the dome base of the piece.
    Very Brief Background on Dugan.
Thomas Dugan and his cousin Harry Northwood started out as employees at the Hobbs-Brockunier firm in Wheeling, West Virginia.  Eventually, Mr. Northwood would form the
    Northwood Glass Company
of Wheeling, West Virginia and Mr. Dugan would form the
Dugan Glass Company of Indiana, Pennsylvania
.  Both companies were kingpins of the carnival and opalescent glass market in the early 1900's and both would close their doors in the mid 1920s.
    Condition
.  This Whimsey Creamer Gravy is in
    excellent condition
with no chips, cracks, or restorations. The iridescence is radium-like, very shiny.
There are some of the usual minor "straw marks" (shearing tool marks) and internal (nonburst) air bubbles commonly associated with the hand manufacturing of old carnival and opalescent glass.
...An extraordinary example of Thomas Dugan's (cousin of Harry C. Northwood) fine craftsmanship.
    ...A real pretty find.
...Would look great alongside any Northwood, Dugan, Fenton, Millersburg, Jefferson, Westmoreland, Sowerby, Riihimaki, Imperial, or other antique glass from the makers of fine carnival and opalescent glass and EAPG.
