Scarce and highly collectible original first printing promotional poster issued by Polygram/Mercury in 1989 to promote the release of
Hot in the Shade
– the band’s fifteenth studio album, produced by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley and released on 17th October, 1989 by Mercury Records. It was the final Kiss album to feature drummer Eric Carr in its entirety before his death in November 1991. Containing the hit single “Forever” (written by Michael Bolton and Paul Stanley), the album peaked at #29 on the
Billboard
200 and was awarded Gold by the RIAA.
The poster measures 76.1 x 60.8 cm (approx. 30″ by 24″ inches) and is printed on thin, coated paper stock. In near excellent unfolded condition with very light handling wear.
